Rig with pivot in the world space (center grid)

Is it possible to attach a parent constraint (or other constraint) controller to a mesh with a pivot in the world space? The mesh's pivot has to remain in the center of the world space (grid) but if I put a parent constraint to it and move the controller, the movement of the mesh will be wobbly. Is there any way for it not to be wobbly without changing the pivot's position? Thank you so much.
