Reference File not Found Error

So I had someone rig my character some time ago, but I keep getting this error everytime I try to import the rigged character into another scene. I've attached a screenshot of the error to this post.

For background, the file that the person sent me was a .rar file which I extracted. In it, there is a low_model.mb file and a setup02.mb file (which is the rigged file).

I'm trying to import the setup02.mb file into my scene but for some reason this error keeps coming up (I think its referencing a file path on the other person's computer where the low_model.mb is being referenced to).

Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that the referenced file points to the same file on my computer?

I've tried to use the File Path Editor as described on this page but I'm confused on how to use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi!

If this happens on import of your setup02 file, it means that the model is a Reference the setup file. Open the setup file, it will probably ask you to reconnect low_model, you can do that by clicking on "Browse" then finding low_model on your machine. Then open the Reference Editor, rightclick on each Reference and exectue File -> Import Objects from Reference.

Generally files that get imported or referenced should not contain references themselves, because that can lead to nesting problems like this Error.

I hope this helps!
