Problem working with Mocap

Hi Everyone.

I have a problem working with mocap files. I received a lot of mocap files. I imported to maya and the orientation of all the files are wrong. They need to be in the Z positive axis, but sometimes are oriented to the X positive, sometime to the Z negative...

I tried to rotate the hip bone to the correct position using animation layers, but when I do, the mocap works bad and when in the original file the feet still on their position, now in some points floats.

I don't know if anyone knows how I can do this. I tried a lot of option but nothing works. The only solution that worked is parenting the root bone to a group and rotating it and then baking the animation, but when I import this animation to the rig i want to use, it breaks.

Thank you

Sounds like you need to retarget the animation clips.

I usually do this by retargeting using the HIK  tools
