Problem exporting animations from maya to unity, animations don't work nowhere

Hello, I'm new in Maya and I'm having problems with the export of Maya files to unity, I've tried with all the options and I can't export the animations, I've been looking at the forum, in the documentation of Maya, unity, in tutorials etc, but I can't make it work.
In unity it appears that there is an animation, but the model remains rigid in the preview and in scene.

I noticed in the preview that the model moves with respect to the axis of coordinates like the animation do, but the rest doesn't.

I dont know if this is because the bones wasn't exported well, or if the bones were disconnected with the mesh.

As a relevant information, the model has been designed in Mudbox, and then imported into Maya for animations.
Another important thing is that it is a double model, that is, two entities form the character. However, I have tried to separate it, and extract its animations by invididual, but the problem stay.
I have the animations baked, I tried with the version before baked but the problem continues.

I spend a few gyazos so you can see what I mean.

The double model https://gyazo.com/15067f80bb1f12642876194a74cfea9f

My bones config in unity when i import  https://gyazo.com/86859ead08664edc380c4a84f1d9effd

And in the unity preview https://gyazo.com/5bd70ed1941aae1a95e4ba2a10b44981

And an error when i export with the tangents https://gyazo.com/8f4445136cc0b14098b9bec2ecc31cef

If i open the fbx in "Fbx Review" the animation dont work , so the problem is when i export from maya https://gyazo.com/77d64b27021374eb73a72f3c7bfd807b

P.D; Sorry, my english is soo bad 😄

Your English is fine.

Not sure.  I would suggest experimenting with a simpler animation first.  Make a simple cylinder and put a simple 2 or 3 bone (joint) rig on it.  Animate a bend and then try importing that into Unity.

Unity won't work with certain rigging from Maya.  It needs to be a basic skeletal setup and no animation layers or anything like that.

Wiiiii, playing with a little model i found with the solution 😄

I will left it here if someone has the same trouble

1. Make your animation and save it in a clip (if you have not already done so)

2. Go to game exporter and ignore the model tabs and animation clips, you go directly to time editor.

3. Select your clip in the tab and click add new clip. Make sure that export everything is activated, or select the bones in the outliner and the clip and change to export selected (this opcion reduce the file size, and you MUST export the model in the model tab. The names must of type "yourModel@animName). Any other combination doesn't work for me -.-

4. Export and load in unity

Here the gyazo https://gyazo.com/a9293c66e28d9fbdfc543ac90cbe7401

I was three days stuked with that and just with that idea i get the solution ty slimboJoe 😄

Hi @al343869 ,

I have the same problem as yours but I miss a point in your explanation...

After I made a clip of my animation in the trax editor how do I save it?

Maya gives me an error messsage if I try to export the clip in a folder. And without this passage, in the game explorer I can't see any clip and I'm stuck!

Thank you!
