Pose Interpolator for Multiple Joints

Hello!

I'm introducing myself to the pose editor, and I was wondering if it is possible to set a single pose interpolator for multiple joints? Seemingly, a pose interpolator can only be assigned to a single joint, so I'm confused about the workflow for regions of a model which have multiple bone influences, such as a hand or a face. I've experimented with a few different set ups involving controllers and set driven keys, but I haven't been able to find a solution. It's possible I'm simply thinking about this problem incorrectly...

The specific application is for a corrective pose shape for deforming a neutral hand into a fist, which would obviously involve 20 joints or so. I'd like to be able to have a single pose shape that I can work on while the required bones are all in the "fist" pose.

Thanks!
Jeremy

hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! You are correct in your thinking - the pose interpolator is only meant for a single joint. I can definitely see how expanding it's capabilities to multiple joints would be beneficial though! If you have time, I would recommend posting this idea to our new Maya Idea Station - I am positive that this would be a well-received improvement idea 🙂

When you get to it, post the link on this thread and I will vote for it! 😄
