LWS character import error

Earlier today I was finishing off the blocking process of my animation for University when I imported my LWS referenced character into my scene so I could group something in the outliner. When reopening the file later on I found that the character had been corrupted in the scene or atleast that what it looks like (Everything was grey and couldn't select or click anything). At first I thought that I just need to re-activate the scene however when that happened the character and other objects changed to green or yellow and were distorted in the scene. Please any help would be greatly appreciated as this is due in a few days and may end up failing the paper because of this issues. Below I have attached images of the issues I'm experiencing.
