Interpolation in Animation

Hello! I'm pretty new to Maya and have only animated in it a couple of times. I started a new animation for an assignment and had a question about Maya's interpolation between keyframes. I was wondering if there was a way to turn off interpolation? I was hoping to be able to animate on two's or three's without having to copy and paste every single keyframe I wanted to hold. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hi!

You just need to select the animation curves in the grap editor and put the into "step tangent" mode (picture of the button below)

If you want to have the same behaviour for new curves, in the animation preferences set "Default in tangents" to "linear" and "default out tangents" to "stepped"

I hope it helps!
