Image Plane doesn't support movie/image sequence in Maya 2015 ?

Can some one help me. I can't seem to get a mivie into Maya 2015 on an image plane. PNg pictures work, but i need a movie for refrence for my model. This is the message I keep getting with a video that has worked in the past.

Install (or reinstall) Quicktime 7.7.7, then re-boot your computer and try again.

Thank you for your reply. I can view the video in the image plane, but the video does not play properly. It skips at least 15 frames at a time and is very jittery. im not sure what to do.

Right-click on your timeline and check your playback speed setting. If it's on Real-time, it may skip frames. Try the other speeds to see if that helps.
