2017 seems to have a terrible graph editor. It wont display curves properly. They only partly display. and it has the large triangular markers on it!! how can I make it look like the old 2016 graph editor. Can I just buy 2016 not 2017?

Hi!

The "new" or "modern" Graph Editor has some advantages and it works well on my workstation, but it should work for everyone (you are not the only one reporting problems with this tool).

Maya 2017 Graph Editor:

Thanks for your help
heres a screen grab of what it looks like in modern.
I hear what your saying - it may have some advantages - but the fundamental
basics are unusable
Clearly its designed by a software engineer - not an animator.

The curve in the screen grab runs to frame 1000 - but doesn't even display
- neither do the handles display properly. And the graph curve when
selected is the same colour as the background - so goes invisible
As for the large orange triangles - I have no idea what they are or why
they are there except to confuse the user

I really do hope that they keep classic mode in future versions of the
software - and not force everyone to use modern.
This will spell the end of Maya as an animation tool. [image: Inline image
