Graph editor is blank

Hello, 

Brand new install of Maya LT (have tried this in both 2018 and 2017 with same result) and any control or joint I select that has keys on it (visible in timeline and channel box) I get a blank graph editor. have tried to set to classic and modern view with no change. I am unable to work without the graph editor, please advise.

I'm seeing these error messages in the script editor as well (not sure if related?):

I have this problem... in maya 2022. Fresh install. 
This and other critical issues surprises me. As of this writing maya 2022 is unusable. Lets see if my team can fix it all inhouse.

I've been trying to resolve this Graph Editor issue with my newly installed Maya 2022. Perhaps it's a different issue than what you dealt with in this thread, but I happened to discover that from the blank Graph Editor I could click on the "Open Dope Sheet" icon (upper right), and then from the dope sheet I would click on "Open Graph Editor". The Graph Editor would then re-open and act normally again. I have  repeated this work-around a few times and so far it's been reliable, so far. I have no idea what's going on under the hood.

Addendum: I've discovered my blank Graph Editor was being caused by my animBot tool. Updating the tool resolved the problem.

Hi there. I know this post is 5 years old, but I am currently having the same exact issue with my graph editor in Maya Indie 2022 and 2023, and I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Maya, deleted prefs and reset to Default, tried various different scenes including a blank scene. NOTHING works. I don't seem to have this issue with earlier versions of Maya. All of this started when I had my PC upgraded 2 weeks ago. It has all the bells and whistles and no problems whatsoever. PLEASE help. This is incredibly frustrating and I feel like I am at a major loss.

yeah. it sucks. There are swaths of bugs littered around maya, and not much drive to fix them sadly. Imagine if Autodesk went full b1ender on this thing.

i still get plenty of graph editor errors. Including missing graph editor contents. 

worst one is actually the "super auto focus" bug (I'd call it that)

it'll completely disregard you as a user. And do an auto focus everytime you drag box select a key in the graph editor. And no no... all focus features are turned off.

Hello All! I know this thread is old but just in case someone comes upon it like I did Here is a solution that worked for me. I did not need to delete any of my Mel scripts for my graph editor to come back. My solution to this problem was to open up the dope sheet, which changes the graph editor to your dope sheet. Then I click to button to change it back to the graph editor. This brought back my graph editor. I hope this helps anyone else that finds this Thread.
