File saves wrong values for keyframes?

Hi! I've been working on two simple rigs lately, and both of them have a problem I can't seem to figure out the cause of.

Basically, when I reference the rig in an empty scene and make a few keys with the controls, everything looks fine. But when I reload the file (like opening another file, then loading the first file again), the keys are wrong.

- Example 1, if I made a key with Rotate X = 10 and the other Rotates = 0, all Rotates in the key are now 10.

- Example 2, if I made three keys. Two of them with all Translates = 0, one of them with Translate X = 30. When I load the file, all keys have Translate X = 30, and the original key with Translate X = 30 is now Translate X= 60.

All controls are zeroed out in the original rig. I've reset Maya prefs. I've worked in the same version of Maya 2023 for about 1-2 years. When I reference both old rigs and the new rigs in the same scene, the old ones work as expected but the new ones don't.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

That's really odd. Do you have any third party plugins loaded?

Does anything look odd in the script editor after you open the scene?

Another thing you could check is if there are any scriptNodes that might be doing something weird when you load the scene. You can find them by going to the expression editor, and going to Select Filter and show all scriptNodes.

Maybe share some screenshots of the script editor and expression editor if something looks odd.

When I looked into the things that you mentioned, I discovered that if I delete the Character set, the issues are resolved (!). Vice versa if I create the Character set again, the issue occurs. Without the Character set the keys get the correct original values, so they do seem to have had some sort of connection to the other Translates/Rotates. Even though I didn't spot anything odd in the Script editor/Expression editor.
I don't really use Character sets but always create them as a habit, at the rare times that I create a rig, so I might have missed an important step somewhere... Because the older rigs I've made also have Character sets without any issues.
