Eyes not moving with the head

Hi,

I hope someone here can help me.

I'm trying to animate a Cake-character with arms, legs and eyes. But everytime I try to move the body, the eyes move somewhere completely different. No matter if I try to move the Root joint or the joint which the eyes should be attached to. If I try turning the head, the eyes just move differently and squeeze outside of the head or inside it.

I used skin weight painting but it still doesn't work. Any ideas on how I can fix that?

I'll add the file so you can have a look at the problem.

Thanks in advance!

Firstly, you should freeze transforms on your geo before rigging it up. Not doing so can cause some really funky issues.

Secondly, regarding the problem you have specified, I would suggest making a joint for each eye which is placed at the center of each eye. Skin the eyes to these joints, and parent the eye joints to your head joint.
This not only gives you control over the eyes directly, but will also give you a clear indication of where the eyes should be. If the eyes aren't following those joints directly, it will be more obvious what is causing the issue.

Hi!

Quick fix:

1. Unbind the eyes

2. Re-position the eyes

3. Bind again.
