Hi, guys

 

There is something very weir and I do not have the little idea what is causing this problem. The problem is I have a model of lion that was already mapped and texturized in Maya but the skinning was worked on 3Ds Max, then I exported it to Maya. And when I want to animate it the whole texture or mapping broke, yo can see it in the image.

 

I think the way I worked between skinning in Max, exported and imported to Maya is the problem, but I don't know if it is. And I have to say when I move any bone, it takes time to load the roatition of the bone.

Without the scene-file it's hard to tell what the problem is.

 

You did all the work in Maya and want to animate in Maya, but you exported the object just for skinning to Max?

This sounds like a bad idea.

You can't exchange complex scenes flawless between different applications, there are always some limitations. This works only flawless if all features you use are entirely supported by both applications in the same manner and additional are supported by the exporter and importer.

 

Please provide more details for help and if possible upload the scene-file.

Seems like it not going to work fine untill I make the whole skinning in Maya. Thank you.


Another question, in the lion, I use Renderman but in the render doesn't show the texture I put, even if I don't move the model, just for a frame to show. How can I solve this?

Do you use a RenderMan Material, if not try this.

Yes, I create a renderman material, put the texture on diffuse, I don't know if that the wrong way.

 

The texture is a PSD.

 

I can't see what you want I try.

Don't use the PSD File node, it's not supported by RenderMan.

Please read RenderMan Documentation for more details about what's supported by RenderMan.
