Error: unable to load the image file + Error: Image conversion (to IFF) failed when importing movie

When importing an .avi file for the image plane I got these two errors. The video file was originally a .mp4 file which I converted to .avi w/ Media encoder. Below is my image plane attributes. Please lmk if you see anything wrong!

Hi!

With moving imageplanes it is still the most stable option to convert your movie into a numbered image sequence.

Eventhough avi is a supported codex it can have some other compression or framerate issues that make it unreadable. While Image sequences are a bit of a hustle to convert to, they work very reliably.

Something you could try first is change the name of your file from "Convident walk cycle.avi" to "Convident_walk_cycle.avi" as maya generally doesn't like spaces and non-ascii characters in it's paths.
