Animation Moves Unpredictably Whenever Keyframes Are Changed

I am working on my first loop animation in Maya. The model and rig were provided by my school. I animated a basic spin animation, but now whenever I make changes to the keyframes, the animation in between moves unpredictably. Adding, removing, scaling, moving, or updating an existing keyframe (even something as small as turning the head a little) will cause this. This happens if I try to work off the graph editor, too, but I want to work off the timeline for now if I can. The only fix I have found so far is to save the file after I make a change and reopen it. This seems to refresh the timeline and the animation runs as it should, but obviously, this is a very difficult way to animate having to save and open for every single change. I need to be able to animate and make changes without it spazzing out.
I tried the live chat option and I was advised to uninstall and reinstall Maya. (this caused a whole other issue where I could no longer open the software, but this has been fixed now.) So, I definitely have the latest Maya and everything should be refreshed, but I am still having the animation issue.
If anyone knows what might be going on or how to fix it, please let me know. I appreciate any advice.
I unfortunately cannot share the file because it is far too large for the dropbox. I am attaching a video of me recreating the issue. It plays normally first, but when I make any changes such as moving or updating a keyframe, the animation spazzes out.
