[2018.1] Can't delete separated keys

Hi,

I'm having an issue with keys in Maya 2018.1. The thing is simple: I can't delete a rotation key from just one axis, instead, Maya deletes all the keys in the other axes. For example, if I want to delete a rotation key from X axis, I simply go to the Graph Editor, select the axis, select the key and press delete. Then, the keys from Z and Y axes are gone too.

I've tried using de Dope Sheet too and got the same result.

It's really anoing... anyone knows what's hapenning here?

Thanks!

Hi!

Try a reset of your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2018 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2018 to 2018_backup (or even the maya folder to maya_backup). Maya creates new folders (don't copy preferences from previous Maya versions). Detailed at:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Reset-May...

If this doesn't help please upload a scene-file showing the problem.

That didn't solve the problem, sorry 😞

I can't upload the scene because it's from a client.

In that case try braking the conncection.

For example, if you want to delete a rotation key from X axis,

♦ Select the controller,

♦ go to channel box and highlight rotation X,

♦ right click on the highlighted channel ( rotate X ) and choose break connection.

This will remove all keys from that channel .Screenshot (258).png

Hope this helps.

Yes, that works, but it deletes all the keys, what I need is to delete just one key in one frame keeping the others.

Thanks btw

DONT delete your prefs.

Change the rotation interpretation!

Graph-Editor/Curves/Change Rotation Interp/Independent!

I suspect maya for having a hotkey somewhere that does this to us. And we,,,, NEVER,,,, want it to be like that.
