Hi,

It seems that the Solar analysis nodes in Dynamo expired on jan 1st.
When they will be available again? What, in general, are you planning with the combination Dynamo and Analysis?

Thanks,

Johan

Hi Johan

Yes it looks like you're right.  I guess we missed that internal communication, and I hadn't caught it yet in my work.  We definitely want to keep the solar nodes out there and in use, so I'll ask the team to update the expiration and get that posted asap.

Meanwhile, our intentions with BPA in Dynamo are to continue the path of Dynamo-izing BPA functionality for internal and community prototyping using the same engines as we use in Insight360 analysis tools.  Once we get you the updated DLL for solar, I'd love to hear more about what you are doing or want to do with analydid tools in Dynamo, as input like yours helps support internal planning a prioritization.

Thanks for the notice,

David

Hi it looks like this has expired again on November 31 2016. Can you please renew it? We are in the middle of a research grant and need it to complete in March. Please let me know what the intention is for this long term.

We are working on an update for the 2016 Plugin and it should be available soon.  In the meantime, you may want to update to Revit 2017.1 and the new plugin for that is working without any limitations and has some additional new features.

@kesimmon

A newer version is available but with another package name. Look for the SolarTestTrident package.

Hello,

I am again having issues this time with the dynamo package Solar test trident. The weather nodes in the package dont seem to be able to get the weather form the weather server and errors with the following below.

Any help you can provide ASAP, workaround or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated as this halts the work we are doing.

@kesimmon

The Solar Test Trident was just a temporary package. The latest version of the solar analysis was published afterwards with the name Solar Analysis for Dynamo. I also published this on y blog: https://bimnature.wordpress.com/2017/01/20/new-version-for-the-solar-analysis-dynamo-package/

With the test trident package I also had problems with the weather data, but not anymore with the "final" package.
