Hello All,
The Insight team is happy to announce that the Insight plugin for Revit 2019 is now available.
There is also an updated version of the Insight Plugin for Revit 2018.
Both are available on the Insight Downloads page.
The Release Notes page outlines all of the bug fixes, great upgrades, new features that have been incorporated.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Both the upgrade to 2018 and the new Insight Plugin for Revit 2019 are not working with Education license when performing daylighting, any one has the same problem.?
Can you describe what issues you are encountering? Was the previous plugin for 2018 working for you, but not the new one?
Yes, this is exactly the case with Revit 2018, for 2019 the message said: I'm not entitled to perform the analysis
I have the same problem. In the “Lighting Analysis in the cloud” menu says: “Cloud Credits - Available – No Entitlement". With the 2018 version: “Cloud Credits - Available – Education”. And now I can’t click the Start Analysis button although 0 credits are required.
I can work with 2018 version but not with 2019 version.
Is it a bug or an intentional change?
In the Lighting Analysis window, the Available Credits should say "Education" Go to your account management page and In Products and Services, check that 'Lighting Analysis for Revit' is listed. Also make sure you have a subscription included in your account for Revit 2019.
If Revit 2019 is not included in your subscription we won't be able to resolve that problem for you, but let us know and we can try to find out who you should reach out to.
I checked my Autodesk - account and Insight - Lighting Analysis for Revit is included. Still getting the same message for no entitlement to perform the analysis
Thanks Marjorie for your quick response, but the problem continue.
I think I don´t have any problem with my licence because it works with the 2018 version.
And 2019 version doesn´t work althought cero credits are required.

José
Hello.
When you mention the 2018 version and 2019 version, are you referring to both as the new 3.1.0.5 version, or is your 2018 version the previous release?
David
Hi David,
I have in the same computer:
Revit 2018.3 Lighting version: V.3.0.0.1. (old version) and it works perfectly
Revit 2019 Lighting version: V.3.1.0.5. and it doesn't work.
This is an imagine Revit 2018.3. You can see the lighting version (V.3.0.0.1) and I can click "Start Analysis" button.

José
Thanks.
I don't know if it's important but the first time I installed the plugin in Revit 2019 I hadn't activated the student license (I was using it with the 30 days free)
As I had problems I activated the student license without positive results.
I uninstalled the plugin and I installed it again with my student license but the problem continue.

José
Hi All,
Unfortunately you've uncovered a bug with education accounts with the new plugin release. Sorry about the inconvenience.
We'll post a notice here in the forum as soon as we get it fixed.
I'm having the same problem, both in Revit 2018 and 2019.
Everything is correct with my educational licence, but I can't run lighting analyses
Please, let me know how when you have a solution!!
Hi @Anonymous
Sorry for not responding to your post sooner, but hopefully you did see that the fixed plugin was posted on the Insight downloads page.
I had use Insight for lighting analysis last semester with my students and it's work fine. After upgraded to latest release, my educational license (Insight) reported as "No Entitlement". I used 2019 with latest plug-in. I checked on my cloud credits, it's still available. Please advise.
Thank you
You may have gotten a copy of an installer that was out for a couple days that had an issue with educational entitlements. Please download the latest installer, and confirm that the Lighting version on the Analyze dialog says 3.1.1.0 in the bottom left corner.
I just downloaded from https://insight360.autodesk.com/oneenergy/landing/download and re-install it.
But I still got 3.1.0.5. Is there any URL that I use to download the 3.1.1.0 as you mentioned, please advise?
Thank you
Must be that the installer is not overwriting the old version for some reason.
Either uninstall the old version from Programs in Control Panel, and/or delete the install folder at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2018\AddIns\Insight, then reinstall.
David
