Why isn't anyone answering me?

I have made several posts regarding various problems with automation with no replies.

When nobody replies, does it mean:

1) There is no solution and what I want to do cannot be done!

2) Nobody knows how to do what I want!
3) I am not following protocol!

Hello @rfink I can understand your frustration when questions aren't addressed. Sometimes some of the questions are indeed difficult to answer.

If you feel you're not being answered a good practice would be to supply more information to clarify. When you supply more info it also bumps to the top of the list and let's people know you're interested in engaging the conversation by providing more to work with.

I don't believe that people ignore but without enough information to provide an accurate answer they remain silent. I will find myself trying to track down an answer and then a half-hour later I'm no closer than when I started. I could pop in letting people know I'm thinking about them but doesn't help solve the issue unfortunately. This is when I typically start asking for files and screencasts

  • For iLogic and VBA post at the Inventor Customization Forum.
  • For general questions post in the Inventor Forum.

Hope that helps!
