Sketched symbol

Hi guys,

i need place sketched symbols as a prompted entry to all dimensions with counter. ( i=i+1)

Hi @pasupathy_baskar.  Lots of questions will now be required because you said so little in your initial post that we have next to nothing to go on, and do not really even know what all you may need yet.  Please be far more specific, and provide as much detail as possible about everything involved.

• Have you made any attempts at doing this yourself yet?
  • If so, then please post what you already have, and maybe we can help you with any errors you may be getting, or help you reach the next step in the process.
  • Do you want this to be done with a VBA macro, or do you want it in the form of an iLogic rule, or in some other context?
• Have you already created the definition for the sketched symbol that you are wanting to use, or do you want/need someone else to create that also?
  • If so, how can the code find the one you already made, so it can place instances of it (what is its name)?
  • Does it contain a real 'prompted entry', or does it just contain static text, or is it just a circle with no text in it, and you want the code to create the prompted entry within it?
• Do you want the code that places instances of the symbol on the sheet to automatically fill in sequential numbers for each of them?
  • If so, does it matter which number is assigned to which dimension?
  • If the code is doing it, and it matters, then how do you intend to instruct which number should be assigned to which dimension?
• In the example image, the symbols are placed at seemingly random locations somewhere near the text fields of multiple different types of dimensions.  So, is the location of each symbol in reference to the text field of the dimension important?  Should it always be above it, or always to the left or right of it.  The code process can not graphically see or determine if the symbol is being placed is over top of other dimension lines or obstacles.

I could go on, but you get the point.

I tried coding on my own, but as a beginner, I made some mistakes

Both iLogic and VBA are fine. If it's done in VBA, I can add it to the Ribbon

The symbol will already have a prompted entry; when the code runs, it will simply generate incremental numbers

It doesn't matter which dimension has which incremental value—the symbol needs to be placed on all dimensions

For Symbol placement left to the Right or Something

Simply put, I want to create balloons for QC inspection. I need to do it this way so that I can generate the inspection table afterward

The purpose of the forum is to help you learn how to code in the context of the software. In my opinion when you ask for help you should always come with the information you have been working with and the attempt you have made to start to solve the problem the code you have been working with. Simply pointing out what your finished code should do is putting all the work on someone else which isn't really what the forum is about.

I would suggest posting your code and where your having trouble and you will receive much more help.
