sheetmetal flat pattern sketch parameters

Hi,

Switched to the flat pattern of my sheetmetal part and created a sketch.

My intention is/was to control the values of the sketch parameter values using ilogic.

I cannot access these parameters through the ilogic parameter interface or the ilogic rule editor.

Seems rather strange to me. Anyone offer a solution?

I am using ilogic with Inventor 2009

Thanks for the reply. Yes that is what i am trying to achieve. If you look at the attached picture I do not have access to the flat pattern sketch in the rule editor interface (like you have).

Most likely this has become available in later versions of inventor (after 2009)

I do get access to that parameter in the iLogic window but whenever i tried to change the value using iLogic, it does not update the value.
So i came out with that code in VBA which i posted here that works... I did this code in Inventor 2013, not sure if it works for 2009 as well.

I have no 2009 installed. Probably it is true 2009 iLogic is not able to list params of flatpattern.

I gave a test to update the param of flatpattern. It looks it can work. Could you elaborate the scenario you hit?

Hi Xiaodong Liang,

Did you use the method in the image you uploaded?

That works fine as it's using the API to access the parameter.

But what I would normally do is, double click on the parameter name, then assign it a new value. Refer attached.
