Read/write embedded Excel sheet in up stream

Hi!

Is it possible to read and write information an embedded Excel sheet located in Assembly, by the code which would be in a Part component in that same Assembly? I'm pretty sure that there is no built-in Snippet for this in iLogic. If the attachement works properly, it should clear out the structure. "Shell.iam" is the assembly where the embedded Excel is located and the "Nozzle_A1" is the part where the code would be to read and write Excel sheet.

Thanks!

Hi Arto,

Did you look at the iLogic calls under "Excel Data Link"? I believe you can read/write an embedded or external Excel file.

Many thanks!

Hi!

Yes I have looked and used even these in other models but in this case the Embedded Excel sheet is not in the same document than the iLogic code. Excel sheet is in the Assembly, and the code is in the part inside in this Assembly. So the document where the Excel is should be able to define somehow. "MakePath" I believe works only in down stream?
