Hi all,

I posted a question in the Inv discussion group. Can anybody help with this?

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/Project-name-in-top-bar/td-p/2928998

I have no knowledge of VB.

Extract the attached into a folder like C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Add-ins  or some other of your choice and run the install 32 for 32 bit machines or install 64 for 64bit machines and start Inventor and I think you will have what you are looking for..

To make life easier I have made this with an installer and uninstaller.

This also has the source code with it as well.

Hi Dan,

just unzip the folder from the message before into the "Addins" folder on your c drive.

Inventor is looking for a file with and "dll" or "addin" extension in that folder.

Inv will start this addin on every start.

Also, make sure that you're add-in manager has the addon in it and loads it on start up. (see attached pic)

Dan,

what kind of windows version do you have? (I have Win7.)

It's a folder that Inv creates itself when installed.

It might be different for others windows.

Also, if you can't find your add-in manager go to

Start menu - All programs - Autodesk - Autodesk Inventor 2011 - Tools.

In there you'll find the add-in manager.

Please uninstall the previous version and install the one attached and let me know if that fixes the problem in 2010..

Hello Mike,

In 2011 it works but not in 2010. the addin appears but is always unloaded. Even if I load it and get back to addins later

again the checkbox load/unload is unchecked.

Thanks,

Dan
