Hi all, I would like everyone reading this to give me their opinions on Lisp be made available to Inventor programmers.
I am thinking of writing a new Lisp program based on C++ that would run inside Inventor. Dialog box interfaces would be provided by ObjectDCL instead of AutoLisp's DCL. What are your opinions? Thanks greatly Chad Wanless

Dreaming of all those ACAD and MDT guys coming over ? I can't really see
a return on the rather large investment you would have to make to accomlish
this. Inventor's object model is much more logical than MDT's (and even
AutoCAD's IMHO), and other than the fact the API currently lacks
functionality in some areas, VBA gets the job done rather well. Lists are
not as important in a solid modeler, as you are not dealing with coordinate
data (points) to the extent you are in AutoCAD. Of course, your opinion may
vary.

My only desire to have Lisp in Inventor would be because I know it a lot
better than VB/C. In reality, unless Lisp is going to provide some
additional functionality that you can't get from VB/VBA, it really
wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.

My only desire to have Lisp in Inventor would be because I know it a lot
