iLogic Part Pattern in assembly

iLogic Part Pattern in assembly

Hi All.

I have created a iLogic part for a set of different flanges.

When these parts are in a assembly, then add bolts to the flange there is no way to pattern the bolts around the flange with using the hole pattern on the flange.

When the flanges where used as separate parts "Feature Pattern Select" would pick up and pattern the bolts but not with the iLogic part.

"Bolted Connections" also does not recognize the holes in the iLogic flange part.

Is there a setting to have the pattern being recognized in the assemblies?

Can you post a sample part? Are you using iLogic to create a pattern?

Parts attached.

One is the iLogic part and the one is the normal non-derivable part.

also attached a screen shot of an example when using the non-iLogic part to use the part pattern in a assembly environment :

STD IPART FLANGE.ipt is an iPart. It is not an iLogic part.
Although the names are similar, these are two different things.

As you found, you can't create a component pattern in an assembly from a pattern feature in an iPart member. This is a limitation.

Hi! Mike is right. The feature-drive component pattern does not work for derived part. iPart member files are actually derived parts of the iPart factory.

Many thanks!
