iLogic Page Setup button not work

I'm using iLogic, and have opened the dialog box to edit a rule. Within that dialog box, all the buttons across the top of the text window (print, cut, indent...) work fine, except Page Setup. Nothing happens when I click that. I'd swear that it worked in the past, but who knows? Is there a trick or something?

Hi! I suspect something got reset incorrectly. If you don't mind, you could use Inventor Reset Utility (All Programs -> Autodesk -> Inventor xxxx -> Tools). Please note that all prior customization on Inventor will be reset back to install defaults.

Many thanks!

So, I finally got around trying this, and it didn't change a thing. The other buttons (functions) still work, but not Page Setup. I just copy/paste into Word, to print it out, now.

Hi @Electrik ,

I see the same results that you report in Inventor 2020... but I've never used that button in the past, so I don't know that it ever worked. I almost thing that it is just included as a "standard" tool button, but doesn't do anything in the iLogic editor.

What are you trying to accomplish with the page setup button? Maybe there is a different way to go about it.

I hope this helps.

Really, the one thing I'd like to do is ensure I'm printing in a Landscape orientation, to prevent wrapping of lines. Thus, the copy/paste into Word, as I mentioned. Again, I thought it worked in the past, but I've hit my head a lot.

Ooops! My apologies I missed the part about pasting into Word in your earlier post.

If you've used this previously, then you probably have a better idea of it's previous behavior than I do. What version of Inventor are you seeing the button not working in? And what previous version did you use that you think it did work in?

Maybe with that information @johnsonshiue  can look back and compare versions to see if there has been a bug introduced somewhere along the way.

I hope this helps.

Good point. We're currently using Inventor 2019.4.3. We migrated there from Inventor 2015. I hadn't used iLogic for awhile, during all of that, so I'm not sure it ever worked in 2019.

Hi Erik and Curtis,

It does look like a bug. I cannot explain why the button does not work. It should not be a null op. Or, it should be removed. I will check with the project team to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Thanks for pointing this out. The Page Setup button worked in Inventor 2017 and earlier.

As a workaround, you can choose portrait or landscape mode from the Print command dialog.
