iLogic error within library parts - Inventor 2021 vs 2017

Hi,

we installed Inventor 2021 a few days ago. Before that we used Inventor 2017.

With the new version we got some bugs within iLogic driven parts and drawings.

The export of idws to pdf with iLogic is solved - thanks to this forum.

Every part has an iLogic form which asks for the iProperties before every saving - also for the material. It works fine the last years. The rules are internal in every part.

For some assemblies we use the iLogic design copy tool. To avoid that purchased parts (e.g. a signal light) are copied the file path of this parts is stored/set as a library path within the project management.

In some cases the design copy tool stops at one file. So we have to open the template and use the command save all. For every file the iLogic form appears, also for the project library parts. After that everything works fine in Inventor 2017 and the design copy tools does its job.

But now, in Inventor 2021, there are errors for every part within the library - even when nothing is changed. I ignore those errors but my colleges struggle with them.

Is there any possibility to check wether this part is a library part or not and to disable the iLogic rule if the part is a library part before saving? We have many parts with this internal rule. Correcting any part manually wouldn't be fun…

It's not so nice to have a different behaviour of the same part within two versions.

Thanks a lot

Michael

@michael_krusche,

Hoping that suggestion in the below blog link may be helpful.
