I am having a issue when I go to open part in open part center it is not showing actual 3D part in the Icons. It just showing the the ipt. & idw. & iam. title block not the actual 3d part. I used to see the actuale 3d part when I went to open part center. and I also noticed when I first start up Inventor 2018 after my computer has been shut down I can see the actual 3D part in open center but after running the programm for some time the actuale 3D part in icon those not appear no more. Can anyone give me a solution for this? thanks, david m. hofer.

Hi David,

Can you paste some snapshots here to tell what the problem is? Is it about the Inventor API or iLogic usage issue(the Inventor Customization is used to post the questions about API and iLogic)?

OK, so my understand is that you want to see the detailed thumbnail view of the documents like below(in Explorer choose Large Icons for the view style) , right?

Thumbnail.png

Can you let me which view style you choose to preview the files in the Open Center? As you may already know in Windows Explorer if you set the Small Icons for the view style you can see the same result as that in Open Center that you captured.  If you change the view style does not solve the 'problem', then please double check:

1. In Folder Options of Explorer, make sure uncheck the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" option.

2. Check your system drive has enough space to show the thumbnail.

Please let me if above helps.
