Drop down menu in form

Hi all,

I was just wondering if there's the possibility to add a dropdown menu in a form?

Screenshot_1031.png

Something along the lines as in above picture.

When I make an assembly, I call up this form to enter all the parameters for the assembly and these get filled in into the titleblock of the drawing. As we have several companies we deliver to it would be easy to have a dropdown menu at the blue arrow so I can select the customer from the list instead of always typing it out. Or could I do this in another matter?

Thanks

Hello,

Yes, it is possible to create a dropdown menu in the form. You can achieve this by creating a text parameter and then converting it into a multi-value parameter. Then, add it to the form. In the form, you can edit it as a combo box, list box, or radio buttons.

@m_baczewski one more thing,

I added the customers to the list and when I call up the form it all works.

But how can I still add a customer without adding it to this list. We work for companies and private persons. The company names are in the list because they're regulars but the private persons are one offs and those I'm not adding to the list or else it'll be a giant list in the end

Yeah, you can add custom values. You need to set 'Allow custom values' to true in the behavior.

@m_baczewski I just found it also.

But I don't seem to get the parameter into my drawing. Is there something I'm overlooking?

I think you should check this checkbox.

@m_baczewski this is the screen I have. But the reason it doesn't go to the drawing (I think) is the fact that I don't have an "export parameter" checkmark. Wit a numeric  user parameter, there's a box what I can mark to export the parameter

You can easily reference this parameter from the model in the drawing, if you already have the drawing of the model/part with the given parameter. Take a look at the video.
