Drawing Curves: How to reset the line weight to "By Layer" through the API?

Hello,

I have some issues with drawing curves. I attached a Screenshot to explain it more detailed.

First, is it possible to access "Component Properties" throught the API?

And second, is there a way to reset the line weight to "By Layer"? 

DrawingCurve.Lineweigth is double type and has 0 when set to "By Layer". But - assigning 0 creates a very very thin line 😉

Any help would be great.
