ADLM PROBLEMS

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have now "authenticated" our licenses for a win98 license server. Only
trouble is: the server program itself (control panel applet) will not run on
win98. Neither did I intend to use that computer for licensing services. It
was merely used as a test.

Our win2k client computers run the server applet without error messages, and
seems to be in order (reports server name, environment etc, and
launches/stops service). The WINADMIN.EXE can not generate a server code,
but returns the message "enter server code manually". I have found no other
reference to manually entering such codes.

Present situation:

I have one (not intended) authenticated license server computer which will
not run the server applet.

I have one (intended) license server computer that runs the server applet,
but is not authenticated.

Result: The software is useless.

What can I do to run Inventor?

I see some alternatives, but can find no documentation indicating that
either alternative is (as applicable) possible/necessary:

- Exporting licenses from win98 computer to win2k computer

- Entering some "server code" to run WINADMIN.EXE on Win2k

- Install the license service on a WinNT/win2k SERVER (which we have not)

- Running a licensing module on our NetWare server (if such modules exist)

Any clues?
