After installing inventor 2025 and the most recent 3dconnexion drivers, i have lost all access to keyboard key function like enter, delete, control, etc....

i have tried rolling back the 3d connection driver by about a year, and i have also tried it in inventor 2024.  to do this is deleted all the 3dconnexion files in appdata folder.

nothing has fixed this issues.  any idea on how to fix

Hi @j_cad_files.  I have Inventor 2024.3.4 on a Windows 11 Enterprise Dell PC and also have the wired SpaceMouse Pro, which is one step down from the Enterprise model.  I have never experienced what you are talking about here, but it sounds like the space mouse installer did something to the driver(s) for your keyboard.  Have you tried updating or re-installing the driver's for your keyboard.  If your keyboard is just a simple one, then it may be a generic driver that comes with the Windows operating system, or something like that.  I know these types of 3D mice have buttons on them for all those special keyboard keys, but they should not cause those buttons on your keyboard to stop working completely.

This type of problem is likely something that you would have to contact the Technical Support folks at 3Dconnexion about.  They may try to blame as much as possible on everything other than their own products or installers, but they may also be far more experienced in how to get you back up and running again sooner than us on the Inventor programming forum.

Edit:

Do you have access to the 'on-screen keyboard' app that comes installed with Windows 11?  If so, you may want to have that available in your primary task bar, for easy access, because you should be able to use that with your regular mouse.  If that also acts the same way as your physical keyboard, then you may be in more trouble than I thought?  Have you tried running security scanning software on your PC to make sure it is not something malicious attacking your computer or attempting to record your keystrokes?

i have only lost access to the keyboard function on my space mouse.  My keyboard works fine, and it make this harder i am using inventor in a Remote desktop, and is on windows server.

this setup has worked for a year and i updated to the lasted drivers and inventor 2025 in Jan, that is about then this started.  I have rolled back to an older version of the 3dconnexion software about a year old and i still can not access they keyboard function on the space mouse.  when i did this i deleted all the data in appdata folder, where the software customizing are stored.

as far as the keystroke recoding i dont think that is an issue this is a small company to deal with that.

thanks
