My guess is that the problem is with your project file. Open the project editor, and make sure under the 'Folder Options' that the path to the templates and design data is pointed to the new 2014 folder created when you installed 2014.
If you are using Windows7, I beleive the default install location is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2014.
