Visual Studio - Debugging has stopped working

Suddenly I can no longer debug my VS Addin. (Addin is working, without debug.)

Does not seem to be related to my code. Tried to restore old version from repository which was working, but problem remains.

Windows 10, Inventor 2019, VS Community edition

Hi @Anonymous ,

Did you have some luck by uninstalling the Windows update for checking if it was the cause?

You could also try running the Inventor Reset Utility to see if the User Profile got somehow corrupted.

Opening Inventor regularly works as expected?

Another thing to try would be to open Inventor, uncheck all "Automatically load" boxes in the Addins panel and then try debugging it again in order to see if it's caused by a specific Addin.

Uninstalled the windows servicepacks.

Addin works fine when loading without debugging.

Reset Inventor

Tried to run with a different user

Updated Visual studio

nothing helps.

It still crashes on the ntdll.dll

Workaround identified was to start Inventor and then attach to process via VS, this works well. 2020/2021 didn't throw the same exception on startup and work fine.

Can you tell how to "attach to process" for debugging after starting? I am trying with inv 2021 and the programm at start" option which seems to not work and the addin seems to have a problem i would like to debug to get further information about the problem, but it just unloads directly and never entering the activate at all. Now that i found this post here describing just that I would like to give the workaround a try to maybe fix my problem on this also
