User parameters not updating model parameters

When I copy a model parameter in any .ipt down into the user parameters field the user parameter will not update the model parameter when changing the equation. This is for all new .ipt and not an isolated incident. Any ideas why this is happening. I have the latest version of Inventor 2024 with all updates installed.

Hi @jrholzworth.  Maybe I am not understanding the situation correctly, but if you want the ModelParameter to be driven by changes to the UserParameter, then you should copy the 'name' of the UserParameter, and set that in the Equation field of the ModelParameter.  Then the true equation will remain within the UserParameter, and the ModelParameter will just reference the UserParameter.

I don't think you are understanding me. I should be able to change the user parameter which drives the model parameter and it does not work.
