I have request to get total qty of parts in drawing. What i would like to have in parts list table for individula parts is total qty.  So if i have 4 panels in my assembly and 4 same units to have in parts list 16 as ttl. What i do now is just in bom multiplying qty with unit (fixture)numbers and it is painfull process. Can please somebody of you take a look in this and if possible solution i would greatly apprecite

You can use the BOM view PARTS ONLY.

With this view you see the amount of each part necessary for your assembly or even for your machine.

Thanks for input, but you didn't understand question. I bet this great programmers can make it to work. It looks simple, just looks.

Again in drawing parts list table for assembly inventor is giving me qty which is good, but company want to see total qty for each part for certain qty of units they want to build. So if i have 4 parts with same number  and we build 4 units, total qty in parts list will be 16. That is all. I never did total qty before. For that is maybe cut list but hey some people think different.

Thank you for any attempt

Link below explains it perfectly and deals with  item qty x ASSYQTY . You can do it without ilogic but you would be filling in the ASSYQTY column by hand.

Thank you. I saw that rule. It change part list table. I would like something that is on part level if possible. Since I'm doing solid bodies with most of my parts and when making assembly would it be possible  on prompt (how many units to build) multiply my parts.  As i mention before. If my one unit has 4 panels and i need build 4 units to multiply panels 4 or whatever number of units.

Thanks for any attempt

What your looking for is quite difficult due to the read only status of parts in the BOM such as content center parts or read only library parts.  A work a round might be to place all BOM qty's as static.

I looked at several post on the forum and most defaulted to parts list method due to the complexity.

Will the parts list method not work for you? It sounds like this is work you may need to carry out in excel or an ERP /MRP system.

I know hat is difficult and i guess that is reason why i don't have respond on tis matter. What we do is lot manual editing but i hope someone with great programming knowledge will help.

We do not have ERP/MRP. Expectation is to have part name for dxf's  to consist part#-material-total qty. I do have rule that will make that in browser tree, and from where when save dxf's got what need.

Problem s with total qty. In BOM i have to do manual calculations and type total qty. Would be nice to have that somehow automated. I now also that CC and Library parts make this difficult to work, but if there is any suggestion i would greatly appreciate
