Surface Pattern

 Hello Community,

Try to explain what I like to do:

For my Project I need to create a kind of pattern, of an Element (Surface,extrusion etc.) along the hole Body of an Part.

I need a Body which is completely perforated with this Element. (for example rectangular every 25x25mm an Element)

This is quite an easy Task, if the surface where placed on is flat or curved in one direction, you can solve it with the common pattern functions.

I have a surface (or body) which is freeform, two directions. (Spline)

Is there a way to do that? Placing every Element normal or in defined angle to this surface?

May can I try to first place a grid of points on that surface, and then proceed further?

Any way to do this via API?

place sketchpoints on the spline

create workaxis through the points, perpendicular to the surface (select point and surface)

use this workaxis for creation of you holes
