Why is it when I use the spell checker that ii have to change the font because I can't read the text as the spell checker brings it in at 2.5 point and I have to change the size so I can read it? I can't find a setting to keep the text size large enough to read.

I installed the spell checker from the user tools in the software developer kit (SDK) on my 64 bit machine, tested the spell checker's font size and it was a 10 point Tahoma font by default. The spell checker is using the same one as MS Word, so the setting of a 2.5 point font may be set in that application on your machine. I'm unsure how you'd have this default to 2.5 point in Inventor. What font is being used? What is your default font size in MS Word? You'll notice what I mean about Word if you click on the Options button in the spell checker - a dialog comes up saying something to the affect of "Change how Word formats your text". Please let me know the font being used and the size of the spell checker in MS Word and I can look into helping you further. Thank you.

Font in word is set to Tahoma (REGULAR) and 12 point.  But in Outlook the text is Calibri +BODY (regular) and 11 point. I had not checked to see what MS Office was set to until you asked, now I'm really confused as to why when I check the text inside of spell checker they don't match.  Tex inside of IV at present is set to Tahoma and between .07 and .200 in size.

The other thing is when I run the spell checker inside of the Sketched symbols area, when creating new standard notes. I have to reduce all programs or use the show desktop to see the spell checker.  But if I am just using the text command at the dwg format level for a note it shows up just fine.

Thanks

Thank you for that update. This application is a 3rd party installation and is not technically supported by Autodesk support - it would be the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) that supports this application in general. But the spell check is just invoking Microsoft Word, so it may be something to ask them about as well. As far as the spell check "hiding" behind other open windows including Inventor, I became aware of this as well and had to use the flying windows key+D to show the desktop and then alt+tab to get to the spell check dialog myself, so that's another question that should be posed to the ADN group on this. I apologize for not being able to help you further than give you the information of where that application was developed and what it's "latching" onto to function as far as the spell checker. I'll copy this post to the customization and you may be able to get a better answer from the right group on the "hiding" act it does and them or Microsoft as far as the font. I've searched the registry to see where it may be writing the font size to and it came up empty. Thank you for your understanding that this is not something we cover in support as we do only the "out of the box" functionality and I couldn't log this with our development team as they do not accept anything from the SDK.
