Sort Bill of materials on more than 3 conditions

Hi all,

I want to sort our Bill of materials on more than 3 properties.

I want to sort on:

1. BOM structure (purchased or normal)

2. A custom I-property that seperates non standard purchased parts

3. Vendor

4. Stock number

Right now we use the build in sort and run that twice (first round step 1-3, second round step 4).

but this does not work good enough and its cumbersome

@Robin_Erich

Using Ilogic on the BOM in the assembly file yes? I also have the same issue. I have logged numerous hours tearing my hair out over the last year and I attempted to rework my code again just now but to know result.

I find that if you filter by BOM structure first it disables the numbered content from being sorted. So I put it on the end to allow the number content be filtered first. The same thing happened with vendors.

Looking at previous posts it seems that everyone is defaulting to sorting the parts list as a work around and then pushing changes back to the BOM. I can't believe this is still an issue.

@WCrihfield

Would you happen to know if there is a good solution to this?

Thanks

Alan
