Replicating Catia tree / Inventor browser names from Catia STEP

Hello All.

I am trying to replicate a CATIA assy model tree in Inventor via its STEP from CATIA. Everything in the conversion looks correct in Inventor:

These "browser names" do correspond correctly to the CATIA tree. My issue is if I go to "save as", Inventor saves them as generic nomenclature:

Pack & Go gives the same result.

My question is, are there options other than manually inputting these "browser names" from CATIA to the iProperties fields?

There are also sub assy's that are affected as well. I know Inventor has scripting ability, though this is not my strong suit.

Hi,

it is not impossible, but a little bit complex.

There are many solutions.

I see, that in Catia you have probably repeatable parts.

In Inventor you have this parts, as separate Parts, correct me if im wrong.

Correct in Inventor should be = 

EE0525001:1

EE0525001:2

EE0525001:3

EE0525001:4

etc..

Yes, you are correct. The reason I am posting this inquiry is because as I move through this task manually, I feel like it could be scripted.

My manual solution to your question is to "save and replace" one instance with the correct filename, then "component -> replace all" to swap out all other instances. I wonder if a script could I.D. one of each of the instances, save them with the correct filename, then the user must manually replace all through the tree.
