Problem encountered while saving the doc

I am trying to save directly to the Schools network drive that is set up for the class and I get an error "Problem encountered while saving the doc. Failed to create folder M:"

I am able to save to the C: (local HHD) then move the file to them network drive (M:) but not directly to the network. Assistance would be nice.

It could be a couple different thing that are wrong. First check to make sure the M: drive is mapped on that computer and that you have the proper permissions to write to that drive. Are you using Autodesk Vault? How is your project file set up to save work folders?

Thanks for the reply
The M drive is currently mapped. Students and Teachers can write to the
drive. The work around as of now is; Students and Teachers have to save to
the C: drive, then they can copy the file to the M: drive (their personal
drive) and to the class shared drive. If the students just save to the C:
drive. Network Policy will copy the file to the M drive. But still nobody
can save directly to their M or the class shared drive. No they are not
using the Autodesk Vault

I would make a copy of the project file and change the workspace location to the M Drive folder you want projects to go to. After you that done make sure you select the right project file and try to save to the M Drive

I hope this helps.
