I'm looking into developing a script which:
- Opens a model (or assembly) in Inventor through SAP
- Calculates the physical iProperties (center of mass, inertias)
- Reads those iProperties out into an Excel worksheet
Are any of these three points not possible in Inventor VBA? Especially the SAP interface.
For those who do not know, SAP is a PLM product that is basically a big controlled data storage platform. When I click File / Open, I get an SAP intertface dialog that allows me to search for and select a part by part number (for example).
