We do intergration assembly, we made a lots of sheet metal parts. We did not standardize these parts. When we get a new job which is similar as existing job, we can find old job, and re-use the design. If we could not find similar job, we have to make new design for the job. Actually some jobs are different for full job, but it still has samilar area. Properly we can reuse some existing parts. The problem is that we have no clue how to track it.
I am thinking: when we design a new job, can we find if an existing part is exactly same as the new part? I mean thay have same shape and dimensions.
We just use Inventor, no Vault. So we do not have clue if Vault can do this.
