Need iLogic help

Hey,

I've created a iAssembly frame made from iParts which (should) adjust the size of the whole frame.

I made 4 iParts with custom parameters (the floor, 1 side wall, and the front wall, but also a iPart that's not in the iAssembly frame) and than the other parts linked to those so everything should adjust according to those changes.

The thing is, my first member from the iAssembly is working great, it does everything i want and i'm happy with that. (this first member is the smallest of the family. )

But that's only the first member. 😞

The second member changes abit, but not entirely , the floor gets bigger in length and width, but the width from the front wall doesn't change with it. same counts for the width from the other parts.

Also, the length from the side wall changes only on 1 side (the one with the custom parameters) , even though i have exactly the same outer length, width & height on the other side wall which has it's parameters linked to the custom one.

I'd like to have it that when i have: iAssembly table member 1 active, that the parameters from every linked iPart should be the same parameters as from the active iPart which has the custom parameters , so when Sidewall 1 = smallest => Sidewall 2 uses the parameters from the active Sidewall 1 iPart member

Another thing is, the 4th iPart which has it's custom parameters linked to the other iParts in the iAssembly needs to be replaced on 1 of the designs, and the iParts that use the parameters from that 4th need to take over the parameters from the new iPart that has been placed into the iAssembly

This is pritty much my problem...

I hope that the explanation is somewhat clear, because i'm bad at explaining. 😞

Kinds regards,

Robin Nijman

Hello,

Could you attach your file please?

So I can have a look at it.

Thomas.

The whole unit is our company's own design and therefor a company secret, so i can't post the files...

If that means that i can't be helped than that's ok, i'll just try to find the solution myself.

but feel free to point me in the right direction if you've got a small idea on how-to
