Macro Inventor

Hi,

I know it's possible to create scripts with Inventor and I looked up a lot of information, but I can't find a good tutorial on how to make what I want.

I want to make an macro that can be used in the following way:

I want to use 'copy object' to copy surfaces which I can select. Then I want to rename the created surfaceBody and then I want to export all the created surfaceBodies to an obj file.

To be sure what I mean is: I don't want to copy the whole part, just some faces of the part and then export the created surfaceBody (called in Inventor).

Is this possible and how is it done?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Thank you for responding.

Maybe some better explanation of my question. I don't want to just copy the surfaceBody.

Small example: If I create a pipe, then I want to use the feature 'Copy Object' and copy both ends of the pipe excluded the pipe's 'wall'.

Doing that I created a surfaceBody called srf1 as shown in the extension.

Then I want toe export that surfaceBody so not the solidBody.

I'm really losing a lot of time of figuring it out in the macro.
