Hi all,
I am impressed with the IV 11 ability to save a 3D model directly to a dwg, and also that it saves it as a block whose name is taken from its iproperties. However, the only problem I have is it saves an entire assembly as a single block.
I have an assembly made of sub-assemblies and require each sub-assembly to be made into its own block with its own name.
Because this function is in the AEC exchange addin, I have not been able to look at the code to figure out how the dwg is created and blocks named.
If anyone could enlighten me, or knows another way around any help would be much appreciated.
If I cannot figure out how to do this, I am going to have to go back to doing my layouts in Autocad...please, I can't go back!!
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Mark.
