Inventor Nesting materials - finished side(s)

Looking for ideas on how to handle A-sides/one-sided material in Inventor Nesting.

Flipping the material is the issue that's keeping me from diving into Inventor Nesting.

Our wood shop uses several different material orientations: one finished side, two finished sides, no finished sides, or two differently finished sides.

I haven't been able to figure out an easy workflow for handling 4+ materials with necessary up and down orientations.

If you want to do them all in the same .inest file you're going to have to define a different packaging for each orientation. Inventor Nesting pulls information from the material and thickness to determine which packaging to put the part in. You could either define a different material for each orientation or a slightly different thickness for each. The A side should always be nested up unless "flip" is enabled for that material. Hope this helps!
