Hello, I'm getting assemblies set up to use iCopy and I've hit a bit of a snag, hoping someone else is familiar enough to know how to get around this.
Basically, I have an assembly of something we frequently make, in this case a ladder specifically. Now, this ladder is set up and good to go, to the point that I can simply do an iCopy and punch in the width/height/etc and the ladder builds itself. The problem comes from safety cages, as sometimes our ladders have no cage, have a small cage, or a large cage. (Dependent on height + other factors)
I initially tried having 3 ladder assemblies + drawings (No cage, small cage, large cage), but have figured out that won't work because iCopy doesn't work if the skeleton component isn't adaptive, and I can't have the shared skeleton be adaptive in all 3 assemblies.
It also seems that I can't get around it by making the original frame an iFactory, as only 1 object in the table can have that skeleton be adaptive.
Any suggestions on ways to make this work that won't needlessly complicate things? My best thought so far is putting both cage styles into 1 assembly with the adaptive skeleton, and using a variable + iLogic to suppress components as needed, but moving forward I can already see that method becoming a pain in upcoming assemblies.
