Inventor 2018 Rules not Auto-Running

Good Morning all,

I will start by letting everyone know I don't have any experience with iLogic/Rules...with that said we are all of a sudden having a problem with one of our computers at work. We all use the same template files which have the Rules saved in them, but they won't run anymore on this one particular computer. They do run if you do them manually, but even then they're doing weird things. Our details file populates the job number, but after manually running the rule they disappear or sometime don't appear on the printed version. Also, the iTrigger for one of the rules doesn't work either. We've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Inventor and restarted the computer. Has anyone else seen this with 2018? I can upload the file or the Rules, but not sure what that would achieve since they work on every other computer..

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the applicable Inventor updates are installed (2018.3 followed by 2018.3.9). Also, you need to make sure .Net 4.6 or later is enabled (go to "Turn on or off Windows Features").

Many thanks!

Thanks for the response! All of our computers are currently running on Windows 7 with the Net 3.5.1 and have no problems except the one. We are also all on Inventor Professional 2018.3.9. This just doesn't make much sense considering we've never had this problem and it's only the one computer.

Hi! Do the rules have Event Triggers set properly (Manage -> iLogic -> Event Triggers)?

Many thanks!

Yes, this was the problem! Under the Securities Options there was a checkbox to disable all events. Thanks so much! I'll post the image below so anyone else running into this problem can know. Not sure how this ever got changed, but at least now we know. Have a good day!
