Inventor 2018 Annotate Centerlines

Good Day,

I installed Inventor 2018 and the Annotate ribbon is available however it has no symbol section (I am looking to add centerlines). I found several posts recommending turning on centerlines in the document settings, however, that is not an option in my document settings.

I am a student, using for a class and I don't have access to support because of my license. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Patrick

Commands in Red highlighted box are used for creating Center-lines.

Hello,

Thank you for writing back.

This is my annotate ribbon.  Your ribbon is what I was expecting to see. But mine is missing many items.

I can see that you are in Part not in a Drawing.

In part you cannot make a center-line just like that, do Project Geometry of Work Plane / Axis and then select the Projected Line and convert it to Construction (and / or) Center-line from the below shown options.

For further information you can view the Inventor Getting Started it's one of the tab in inventor or else check for Online Getting Started Video's in below link

@Anonymous, when you create a 3D part, you do it in the Inventor 3D environment (ipt). When you crash a plane, you do it in the 2D environment (idw). The lines you are looking for are in the 2D environment and the tape you are showing is the 3D environment. You are confusing things, in 3D do not draw lines of axes.

I hope you understand my bad English, it is not my native language.
